Below is an interesting video that provides a brief overview of the history of Smithfield. The video was created in 2016 by the Museum of London, now the London Museum.

Unsurprisingly, given its prominence in Smithfield, the video includes a section on Barts Hospital, featuring hospital archivist Kate Jarman. Therefore, we’re sure it will be of interest to friends of Barts Guild.
